Arts Alive are delighted to be involved in the following projects. 

RURAL REELS

Rural Reels is a group of venues in the Malvern Hills area, who after undertaking a pilot of screenings with Flicks in the Sticks funded by Malvern Hills District Council, successfully applied to the Villages fund to help them setup and run their own film touring circuit. A mix of installed equipment and 2 touring sets means that these venues can continue to screen films.

CREATIVE CONVERSATIONS

Arts Alive are excited to be involved in a new, innovative approach to improving the health and well-being of older people and those suffering with dementia in Shropshire.

The three year project named Creative Conversations, aims to improve the quality of older peoples' experience of participatory arts activities and to their well-being in general. It is also hoped that care home staff acquire new skills, and confidence to share them, and that artist practitioners develop their professional practice.

We expect the impacts of this experimental project, in partnership with MediaActive, Qube, Wem Town Hall, Shropshire Council and Age UK, to be profound for all older people, carers, artists and families involved.
